Begin your journey with a hotel pickup in Bangkok, then travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan toward the countryside of Kanchanaburi province. Your first stop is the Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum, where you’ll learn about the harrowing conditions endured by Allied prisoners of war and Asian laborers forced to build the railway between Thailand and Myanmar.

Then, take a short trek through the actual Hellfire Pass — a deep rock cutting painstakingly carved by hand through mountainous terrain. The site is both beautiful and sobering, offering a powerful sense of the human cost behind the engineering feat.
